5. Referral and Assessment Process
5.1 Referrals
  • Referrals are accepted from GPs, healthcare professionals, or directly from individuals seeking a private assessment.

  • We request all relevant medical history, school reports, or previous assessments to support a thorough evaluation.

5.2 Assessment Process
  • Initial Consultation: We gather developmental history, conduct preliminary interviews, and use standardised screening tools to assess symptoms.

  • Formal Assessment: Depending on the service (ADHD or ASC), clients undergo a series of structured assessments, including ADOS for autism or the QB test for ADHD.

  • Reasonable Adjustments: We make reasonable adjustments during assessments to ensure accessibility, including adjustments for communication needs, sensory sensitivities, and mobility challenges. This may include offering assessments in a sensory-friendly environment, providing extended time, or offering alternative communication methods such as visual aids or interpreters.

6. Diagnosis
6.1 Diagnostic Criteria
  • We diagnose ADHD and ASC using the ICD-11 criteria, which is internationally recognised and the most up-to-date diagnostic standard.

  • A formal diagnosis is made after thorough evaluation and review by our multidisciplinary team.

6.2 Post-Diagnosis Care
  • Following diagnosis, clients receive a detailed report and treatment plan, which may include recommendations for therapies, educational support, and lifestyle strategies.

  • Our post-diagnosis care includes ongoing support, psychoeducation, and referrals to relevant services.

7. Payment Policy
7.1 Payment Terms
  • Full payment must be made prior to the assessment date to confirm the booking. We accept payment plans in certain cases, but the balance must be settled before the assessment.

  • Cancellation Policy: Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours in advance to qualify for a refund or reschedule.

7.2 Travel Costs
  • Home visits incur travel costs of 45p per mile and £10 per hour for travel time. Appointments at our Bexhill office do not incur any travel charges.

8. Complaints and Feedback
8.1 Complaints Procedure
  • Clients may submit complaints in writing or via email. We aim to resolve issues within 10 working days, ensuring all concerns are handled professionally and respectfully.

  • If the complaint cannot be resolved internally, clients may escalate their concerns to the Care Quality Commission (CQC) or other regulatory bodies.

8.2 Feedback

9. Safeguarding
